What customers say?

“ Ono Poke Bar recently opened up another location near Square One. I first tried ONO in Liberty Village but I’m so happy there is one so much closer to me now! They have so many options for protein including salmon, tuna, steak, chicken, tofu and unagi. The one thing I love about ONO is that they offer a snack size and a regular size. The portion for the regular size is HUGE so the snack size is perfect for me! You can make your own bowl choosing the base, main, toppings and sauce but we tried the ONO Signatures - Spicy Mango and Big Island. ”

“ The bowl was pretty big. I had a hard time finishing it. The ingredients fit so well with one another. It's just a small little shop so there's really little seating space. ”

“ Ono Poké recently opened in the Square One area, and being a poké-head myself, I decided to give this place a try. The visuals of this small takeout restaurant are very cute, although it’s immediate neighbour “Hi Yogurt” steals the show (see pictures). I ordered a snack sized Spicy mango bowl, and was a bit disappointed. To compete with franchises such as In a Bowl and Poké Box, you must be extremely tasty. Yet, I found the bowl to be quite simple with no unique touches or flavours added. It is good, but I find that the sauce is only spicy and has no flavour. The mangoes should’ve been blended with the tangy sauce flavour, but instead it feels like two separate parts of the bowl. Nothing special about the other ingredients and the chopped salmon. Overall, there’s lots that can be improved upon, especially for the price of $13.99. ”

“ Visited on a Wednesday and the special was spicy mango which is what I would have ordered anyways so that was great. The ingredients are fresh and they have all the toppings you'd expect at a great poke place. The regular size bowl comes with a soft drink and the portion sizes are relatively large for the price. There is no indoor seating but it looks like they have patio seating in warmer weather. Happily satisfied with poke from here ”

“ Came on a Monday and ordered their daily special (classic salmon) as well as the eel bowl for take-out. Both came with a free pop. The bowls are pretty big in my opinion and they secured it with elastic bands to make sure the lids stayed on (wasn’t closed shut since it was hot). Staff was friendly and was in the middle of restocking/prep since it wasn’t busy. Super filling bowls. Lots of rice, only thing I didn’t like was that the rice was hot; would prefer a room temp/cooler rice. Both bowls were good, toppings were yummy and had enough to balance the rice ratio. The salmon bowl was a bit too saucy for me personally but good regardless. In terms of freshness, I’ve definitely had bowls with fresher salmon but it wasn’t BAD, not too salty either (despite it being so saucy). The eel was good, at first thought there wouldn’t be enough sauce to mix the rice with but it turned out fine. Overall, both were good but think the hot rice ruined it a bit for us PERSONALLY because would have been more refreshing if it was cooler. Would probably come back to try the other bowls! ”

“ Placed an order online for pick up. Everything was done in timely manner. Plus pick up was easy enough. The poke bowl was fresh besides feeling like the rice was slightly dry making the bowl not as appetizing. Wanting more sauce so that it wouldn’t feel as dry. I would come back again. ”

“ Food: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Price point: 4/5 One of the best Poké’s I’ve had!! Everything tasted delicious and freshly made! The wait time wasn’t too long to get our order and the gentlemen behind the counter was nice! Definitely would recommend this great little gem! ”

“ Ono Poké ⭐8.5/10 What we got: - classic salmon ($15.25) - spicy mango ($15.75) A great poké place to visit when in Toronto is Ono Poké! They have a good variety of options and even have daily specials. You can choose to have a base of white rice, brown rice, greens or mixed. The fish is very fresh and of decent quality. One thing to note is that the menu items that are listed as spicy are pretty mild. **Follow @smfoodd on Instagram for more pictures and reviews !! ”
